Certified craftsman - folk artist, wood sculptor as an artist is known not only in Lithuania. The geography of his works - roof poles, other woodwork - is very wide, reaching even Japan, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Russia. The craftsman has prepared a non-formal education curriculum for cross-making that lasts 1.5 months. Educations are aimed at people of all ages who are indifferent to carving, who want to get acquainted with the phenomenon of Lithuanian cross-making, traditional objects of sacred carving, ornaments, traditional and latest tools and technologies of cross-making.

The purpose of the educational program

To provide practical cross-making skills through meaningful engagement of people.

Activities: During the education you will get acquainted with the features of wood carving in Lithuania and in the world, the history of the art of cross-making, the tools of wood cutting and axing. Depending on the duration of education, different knowledge about cross-making can be obtained.

Duration of education: 1,5 – 4 hours.

Number of participants: minimum 10 persons.

Seasonality: All year round.

Languages: Lithuanian.
