A certified master of joinery, furniture making and spoon-making national heritage of Plungė district manufactures natural wood furniture and carvings from wooden tubers. He spreads his accumulated experience and conducts educational activities for anyone who wants to learn the art of carving. He involves children from social risk families and foster home children, and has trained about 200 pupils. The craftsman, through educational programs, believes in and endeavours to maintain the craft in the future.

The purpose of the educational program

To introduce the craft of the spoon craving and the carving tools used.

Activities: As part of your education you will learn about carving tools, spoon samples, wood used for carving. The craftsman will demonstrate how to use tools safely. According to the shown example, everyone will carve their own a spoon.

Duration of education: 2 – 5 hours.

Number of participants: 8 – 12 persons.

Place: At your agreed place with the craftsman.

Seasonality: All year round.

Languages: Lithuanian.
