Folk artist, art creator originated from Trakai. Her hobby is cuts, which brings great joy and peace of mind. All pieces are original and piecework. When creating, the craftswoman puts her thoughts and heart warmth, so when she gives the work to a new host, he passes on some of the warmth of her heart. She regularly attends exhibitions, holds seminars where she teaches the techniques of cutting making. She is also committed to share her knowledge, communicate historical facts and educate people.

The purpose of the educational program

To encourage people of all ages to become interested in the traditional Lithuanian craft - cuts. The craftswoman is looking forward to both skilled participants and newcomers for whom the cutting art is a novelty.

Activities: During the course you will learn about the history of cutting art (briefly). The artisan will show and comment on the tools of the work, the paper. Before classes, she talks with people about what they want to learn - whether it is cutting the decorations (for Christmas, Easter), or postcards, curtains. With this in mind, the craftswoman will prepare all the materials (scissors, blades, etc.). The artisan will show you how the cutting starts. Everyone will make their own piece of work with her advice and help. When the work is done, you will discuss it together, and you will take pictures of your work. The craftswoman uses visual material during the education.

Duration of education: 1,5 hours.

Number of participants: 10 – 15 persons.

Place: At your agreed place with the craftsman.

Seasonality: All year round.

Languages: Lithuanian, Russian.
