Wood carver, collector from Utena founded the Museum of Ancient Life just over 10 years ago, where there is enough space not only for the old artefacts, ceramics, but also for the artist’s carvings. Schoolchildren visiting the museum have the opportunity to get acquainted with previously unseen objects, and the older ones to plunge into lovely memories.

The purpose of the educational program

To introduce the various tools of woodworking, to introduce the craft of cross-making, its history and importance to our culture.

Activities: During education you will learn about tools - axes, saws, drills, planers, chisels, sharpening tools, etc., their history and purpose. The craftsman has abundant woodworking tool kit-collection - over 200 pieces. The attention to the traditions of the craft of cross-making also will be given.

Duration of education: 0,5 – 1,5 hours.

Number of participants: By agreement with craftsman.

Seasonality: All year round.

Languages: Lithuanian.
