The craftswoman is happy to lead a wrist-warmer knitting education and share her knowledge with others. This piece of clothing was widespread in Europe at the beginning of the 19th century, and in Lithuania began to be worn at the end of the 19th century. Now it is not only a ornate accessory, but also a symbol of nationality.

The purpose of the educational program

To introduce the knitting craft, its significance in the past and present, to teach knitting the wrist-warmers.

Activities: Attending you will you learn about the craft of knitting and also why the knitting of wrist-warmers is so special. The craftswoman will demonstrate how to knit and give each participant an individual consultation. Knitting education of wrist warmers will require knitting needles of 1.25mm, fine wool or merino wool, glass beads 9/o or 10/o, needles and thread.

Duration of education: 2 – 3 hours.

Number of participants: by agreement with craftsman.

Seasonality: all year round.

Languages: Lithuanian.
