The craftswoman has been an active member of her community for many years, brings people together, organizes various initiatives and prepares projects. She also actively promotes the traditional Lithuanian craft - knitting, shares her knowledge with others and tries to promote this hobby.
The purpose of the educational program
To provide opportunities to learn more about the intangible heritage of the nation and traditional old Dzukian crafts, especially one of them - knitting.
Activities: You can participate in two different wrist warmer knitting programs: two beads with two knitting needles and with five knitting needles without beads. During the education, the craftswoman will tell you about the craft, its subtleties, demonstrate the knitting process and help everyone to knit their work. Training for beginners is available, but it will take much more time. Knitting of socks and gloves can also be organized.
Duration of education: 6 – 7 hours.
Number of participants: up to 10 persons.
Seasonality: all year round.
Languages: Lithuanian, Russian.
